Sport & Leisure Activities

There are many opportunities to both watch and participate in many different activities throughout the area. The Trans-Pennine Trail runs right through the district and is a great facility for walkers, horse and cycle riders, and for those who wish to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery. We also have a dedicated walks section which features several routes and links to other sites which prmote walking in the area.

Penistone also has two sports centres with a range of facilities: the Penistone Leisure Centre and Penistone Grammar School.
