Football at almost every level from premiership to non-league is within easy reach in Sheffield, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Leeds, Wakefield and Manchester. There are rugby league teams based at Bradford, Wakefield & Leeds, and county cricket at Headingley and Derby.
If watching village cricket is more to your taste, there are teams in Penistone, Thurgoland, Wortley, Green Moor, Silkstone, Hoylandswaine, Cawthorne and Darren Gough, that well known cricketer and dancer, has just signed for Barnsley.
