The Penistone & District Community Partnership was started in 2002 by a group of local people, keen to improve the area.
Starting with just one member of staff, it has since grown, and now employs 7 staff, some part-time. The Partnership received charitable status early in 2006, and became a member of the Development Trust Association in March 2007.
The Partnership depends on local people, their ideas, commitment and support.
The Project Delivery Team at the Partnership is supported by YRCC:
This project is suppported by the Rural Target Fund of the Objective 1 Programme for South Yorkshire. Part-financed by the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund of the European Union and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Yorkshire Rural Community Council manages the Rural Target Fund
