There are local gems like the Victoria Jubilee Museum in Cawthorne (see 360° view), and Wortley Top Forge or you can travel further afield to the RSPB Old Moor Nature Reserve or the nearby city galleries and museums. |
Sports & Leisure ActivitiesWhether you want to watch or take part, there are activities for just about everyone. Amongst the facilities and clubs are football, cricket and bowling clubs along with at Penistone Grammar School with others nearby - and of course it's the perfect region for walking. |

Food, Drink & Local ProduceWhatever your taste, you'll find something to enjoy. There are a wide range of restaurants and takeaways in the immediate area and nearby. Penistone is surrounded by agricultural land and as you might imagine, you can get excellent local food produce. There are regular Local Food & Farmers Markets and many of the local restaurants also buy local ingredients. |

EntertainmentPenistone is ideally situated as a base for visiting different cultural attractions. The renowned theatres in Sheffield and Leeds are easily accessible, and here in Penistone itself the local cinema hosts the famous Compton Cinema organ, originally installed in the Paramount Theatre, Birmingham, with regular organ recitals. |
