Walking in the Penistone area. We receive frequent requests about routes for information about walks in and around Penistone. As a result we plan to dedicate a section of the site exclusively to this. There are local gems like the Victoria Jubilee Museum in Cawthorne (see 360° view), and Wortley Top Forge or you can travel further afield to the RSPB Old Moor Nature Reserve or the nearby city galleries and museums. |

Amongst the facilities and clubs are football, cricket and bowling clubs along with a sports centre in Penistone itself with others nearby - and of course it's the pefect region for walking. |
EntertainmentPenistone has its own cinema which also serves as a theatre and concert venue. The town's also ideally situated as a base for visiting different cultural attractions in various nearby cities such as the Centertainment complex in Sheffield which features the nearest multiplex cinema along with numerous restaurants. |
Food, Drink & Local ProduceWhetever your taste, you'll find something to enjoy. There are a wide range of restaurants and take-aways in the immediate area and nearby. Penistone is surrounded by agricultural land and as you might imagine, you can get excellent local food produce. There are regular Local Food & Famers Markets and many of the local restaurants also buy local ingedients. |
