Set in the attractive conservation village of Elsecar, the Heritage Centre is located within the former ironworks and colliery workshops of the Earl Fitzwilliam.
Restored buildings now house an antique centre, individual craft workshops, and exhibitions of Elsecar's past. There is a Living History Centre and a Victorian classroom.
The centre is also the ideal location to access the Trans Pennine Trail, and Elsecar Greenway.
As well as the attractions at the Elsecar Heritage Centre you will find a full programme of events taking place throughout the year, including themed children's activities, and occasional visits by Thomas the Tank Engine and BBC’s ‘Bargain Hunt’.
