LOCAL PRODUCE & PRODUCTS

Penistone is surrounded by agricultural land and consequently, you can get excellent local food produce here. Like most areas, you sometimes have to search for it, but the effort is certainly worth the reward. There are local farm shops, and a Farmers' Market every month. Some of the local pubs and restaurants make a feature of the local provenance of their suppliers.

If you are looking for local goods other than food, please look at our online shop , which features locally produced arts and crafts and also items featuring Penistone scenes. The local arts group, Hens Teeth, have an annual exhibition held at the beginning of December called Art at the Altar. Last year, the event raised over £1600 for Bluebell Wood Children’s’ Hospice.
